Matt's appreciation of Letterpress was established in the very early noughties whilst studying at the London College of Printing (Communication). It was days whiled away in the letterpress print room that sparked his interest and from then till now its been the main goal of Fireater to produce posters and greetings cards in traditional method and embracing the constraints of the process.

As a quick side note a Fire-Eater was a gentleman compositor with the ability to compose (set) type in great haste. All Fireater posters and cards are created using woodtype in the Fireater workshop and are printed using three vintage printing presses in rural Leicestershire.
