When I was a toddler my Mum sat me down at the dining room table to make necklaces from buttons and shirring elastic. I was born with no fingers on one hand and went through a very determined phase of trying to do everything one handed, Mum saw making necklaces as a way to get me to use both hands, and it worked!

As I grew up, buttons were swapped for beads and shirring elastic for jewellers cord. I was hooked!

In 2017 - I sold a piece of jewellery to someone I didn't know. I’d been making silver jewellery for about 4 years, documenting what I was doing on a Facebook page. While on maternity leave, a colleague tagged me in a ‘post a piece of art you made every day for 7 days’ challenge. The piece I posted on day 7 sold… to someone I didn’t know… and that got me thinking!

Post maternity leave, I renewed my commitment to my craft, honing my skills and refining my style, alongside my day job. I enrolled in every weekend classes, joined online mentorship groups and began building a solid local following and customer base on social media.
