Hillfarm began with a simple question: What if we could do things differently? Not just farming for yield, but farming for flavour. For people. For the planet.

We’re a family-run farm based in the heart of Suffolk, where our story is rooted in generations of working the land. In 2004, we became one of the very first farms in the UK to grow, press and bottle our own extra virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil – and we’ve never looked back.

It started with a bold idea from Sam and Clare Fairs, a pair of farmers with a taste for change. They saw the potential in the golden fields of rapeseed that grew so naturally on our farm – and realised that, with care and craftsmanship, we could produce an oil every bit as good as the finest imported olive oils. Better still, it would be local, sustainable, and completely traceable.

Today, Hillfarm remains true to those values. We grow the crop, press the seeds, and bottle the oil right here on the farm. No middlemen. No compromises. Just full control and full flavour.

Over the years, we’ve grown from a pioneering idea to a trusted British brand – stocked in farm shops, kitchens, and restaurants across the country. And now, with a fresh new look, we’re proud to be bringing our oils directly to the next generation of home cooks, bakers and food lovers. This isn’t just about oil. It’s about doing things properly. Taking pride in the process. And staying grounded in the land that started it all.
