My dollmaking journey began not long after my eldest daughter arrived, I am now the mother of three growing daughters, but blossomed when I saw the joy my creations would bring to the faces of grown ups, and the realisation that these parents, and not their children, were the audience I was reaching out to.

Jennifer Jackson Dolls evolved in to an outlet for me to bring happiness by invoking a sense of nostalgia, a remembering of fun through play, memories of care free days. I challenge anyone to hold one of my little icons in their hands, and not instantly want to make them sing or dance, and within seconds you will notice you are smiling.

The label 'heirloom doll,' to me, says that this item is made with extreme care, using traditional skills and the very best materials. They are items to be treasured, enjoyed in the present, and handed down in the future.

From cloth to final stitch, each doll is made by my two hands, in a tiny corner of our tiny home under the shadow of Lincoln Cathedral. Drawing inspiration from popular culture, the seasons, and the people I meet.
