Hi I'm Kitty!
I've been making and designing jewellery since I was 16. I'd describe my work as fun fine jewellery with a main focus on food.
My pieces are designed to be wearable novelty. I like the novelty side of things but I designed them to be beautiful objects.
I carefully craft each piece in my shepherds hut. I put everything into my work because I love it. I hope you love it too!
When I was young, I remember playing with my grandmother's dollhouse and spending hours with the miniature objects and people. As I grew older, I would watch my mum cooking in the kitchen and told her when I was about 10 that I was going to be a chef. I never became a chef, but what it seems to have led me to do is make very tiny depictions of food and objects.
I started making jewellery when I was a teenager at school and realised very early on that I wanted to do nothing else. After years of training, working for other jewellers and taking on bespoke commissions, I decided it's my time to express what I love.
Jewellery inspired by food is combining both of my two passions and I am sure there are plenty of people that would agree with me. They both hold special significance for many people, evoking memories of family gatherings, celebrations, and cultural traditions. I love the idea of people wearing something that has been carefully crafted but also has a novelty meaning.
