Lottie Day Vegetable Napkins

Lottie Day

Norwich, Norfolk

I am an illustrator and textile artist from North Norfolk. I produce a range of unique designs for the home, inspired by the wonky vegetables on my Dad's allotment. My original illustrations are screen printed onto cotton napkins and tea towels and presented in beautiful gift boxes.

The story behind the business
Meet Lottie Day

Lottie Day is an illustrator and textile designer from a small village called Hindolveston in North Norfolk. Lottie produces a range of screenprinted textiles for the home inspired by the Norfolk countryside and vegetables from her father‘s allotment.

Lottie studied contemporary crafts at Falmouth University in Cornwall before opening her own gallery in Norwich. Although she enjoyed working with other artists and makers, Lottie really wanted to pursue her own creative path.

Despite having little to no experience, Lottie decided to begin designing and screenprinting her own textiles. She drew illustration from time spent helping her Father on his allotment. Lottie loved drawing the strange and interesting vegetables he pulled from the ground.

Before long, Lottie had built a small cottage industry, creating tea towels, napkins and other homewares. Her work was featured in a number of national publications and Lottie began exhibiting at large fair such as country living and Kirstie Allsopp’s handmade fair.

Lottie‘s business has now grown, she has moved out of her parents garage and into her own studio. She now supplies shops and galleries across the whole country and into Europe and America.
