IT ALL STARTED IN OUR FRONT ROOM.
When our daughter Adele was growing up, she loved building little cardboard shops in our front room, selling all sorts of tidbits from ‘Chez Madame Ada.’ So — when we opened our petit coffee van in London in July 2020, there was no question.
A real-life ‘Mada Mada’ was born.
We make the French patissiers best-kept secret: Praliné. An indulgent blend of nuts and caramel.
We source the best nuts we can put our hands on, roast them to perfection and grind them in our traditional stone-grinders with delicious caramel to a drizzle or spreadable texture. Delicious on porridge, pancakes and toast in the morning and on ice cream and yoghurt in the afternoon.
With the shortest ingredients list in the spread aisle, our pralinés are all-natural, without any additives, binders or added oil. Finally something we are happy to give our children!

The story behind the business
Meet Mada Mada
What started as a small business selling coffee and fresh-baked chouquettes quickly evolved into a family operation when, in November of that same year, we started making and selling pralinés. Our regulars loved them and, suddenly, the whole family was involved.
Ada had already designed the logo. My wife joined me, Theodore, in making the pralinés. Our little boy Victor is now our fearsome taste-tester while our newborn Vincent keeps us all on our toes when we’re not hard at work!
We must say, we’re not surprised at the response to pralinés. After all, we’ve been enjoying this French treat our whole lives.
Plus — pralinés are not just delicious. Thanks to the high nut content, they deliver a great source of fibre, plenty of vitamins and minerals, even some bioactive constituents. That’s why local stockists are now bringing our jars into kitchens across London.
And we’re convinced you’ll love them too once you’ve had your first taste.
