Hello, I’m Emma — the designer, maker, and creative heart behind Mother of Pearl Handmade.

Since opening my studio in 2016, I’ve been dedicated to adding a contemporary twist to vintage-inspired clothing and accessories. Every piece I create is thoughtfully handmade using beautifully hand-selected fabrics, luxurious finishes, and meticulous attention to detail.

In October 2025, inspiration struck from the simplest of childhood memories: the humble paper chain. What began as a playful idea soon transformed into something timeless and luxe — the Velvet Ribbon Chain. Using vibrant, beautifully textured velvet ribbon, I created a modern heirloom decoration you can cherish and re-use year after year. It blends nostalgic childhood Christmas traditions with a contemporary, elegant twist.

Since its debut, the Velvet Ribbon Chain has taken the internet by storm, quickly becoming the must-have Christmas product of 2025.
