My love of stationery and design began at a very young age. I spent my days drawing, making and creating, and every penny of pocket money went on new stationery. At the ripe old age of seven, I won a competition to design a packaging label, and from that moment, I had my sights set on becoming a packaging designer.

That childhood obsession stayed with me through school and college, eventually leading to a degree in Packaging Design, followed by my first job in the industry. I worked my way through several agencies to Design Manager before realising I wanted more creative freedom. So, I took the leap and founded a luxury wedding stationery business, creating very special ‘packages’ of a different kind!

Then Covid hit, and weddings came to a standstill. What began as a little creative project to carry me through those uncertain times soon became something much more meaningful. Papertots was born, with the idea of creating magical papergoods and keepsakes for children. I quickly realised just how much joy these little creations could bring to families. I was creating the very kind of magic that seven-year-old me would have been utterly obsessed with, and that felt pretty special.

Today, I get to combine my lifelong love of design, my obsession with the little details and my passion for creating beautiful things, all while bringing a little extra magic into the lives of others. And honestly, I can't think of a better dream job.

Alongside PaperTots, I'm also mum to two little girls who keep life wonderfully busy! As a small, home-run business, family and work often go hand in hand, and the girls love getting involved with little creative projects and sharing their ideas. After all, they're a big part of the inspiration behind creating the kind of magic that makes childhood so special!
