My fascination with jewellery began when I was three years old, after my father gave me a shell necklace that I still have to this day. I think that was the moment I understood jewellery could hold meaning. That it could remind us of people, moments and parts of ourselves we never want to lose.

In my twenties, I started selling jewellery at Camden Market in the early 90s, before co-founding an online jewellery business in 2005 and spending the next fifteen years building a brand I was incredibly proud of.

And now there’s Patroula Jewellery, a brand and a business that feels more personal than anything I’ve created before.

The jewellery I design today is inspired by women, particularly women who have lived a little. Women who have experienced life in all its complexity and are becoming more themselves with age, not less.

From my vintage Swarovski crystal collections to the Sunburst Heart pieces and the stories behind them, each design is created to feel meaningful as well as beautiful. Jewellery that feels comforting, expressive and lasting. Pieces to collect over time and wear in your own way.

Strong women have always inspired me deeply. So much of my work is about celebrating resilience, softness, individuality and the confidence that can come with getting older.

I think there’s something incredibly powerful about women reaching a point in life where they begin dressing for themselves rather than for expectation.

My jewellery is designed for that woman.

For the woman who carries her history with pride. Who understands that strength and vulnerability can exist together. And who knows that the smallest things we wear often hold the biggest stories.
