Hey! I’m Chelsea — the designer, maker and nature-lover behind Purcell-Green Studios.

My creative journey began back in 2016 when I packed my bags for Norwich University of the Arts to study Design for Publishing. At the time, I dreamed of becoming a magazine designer — but life had other plans! While studying, I started selling my own prints and cards in a lovely little art gallery and at local markets. I met so many inspiring small business owners that I quickly realised this was what I wanted to do — create my own designs and share them with the world.

After graduating in 2019, I moved to Cheshire and jumped into the world of design, working across wedding stationery, packaging and advertising. All the while, I kept growing my small biz on the side — my creative escape from the 9–5.

Then Covid hit, and like many, I found myself furloughed. But something wonderful happened — my little side hustle began to bloom. What started as a passion project has now blossomed into a full-time business with customers and stockists across the globe, spreading a little bit of colour and joy along the way.
