High quality knitted products are made by me my home and studio in Oxford, and in collaboration with a small knit design centre in Leicester with whom I work closely.
The yarn I use is spun in Scotland and is RWS (Responsible Wool Standards) certified.

Robyn Macdonald Knits was founded in 2019. Robyn Macdonald has always been a keen hand knitter since an early age, and after studying knitwear Robyn has worked in knitwear design, making and teaching.
Robyn Macdonald Knits began by knitting Christmas Stockings for her nephews in Norway. These stockings are inspired by the traditional hand knitting patterns and colours of Scandinavian knitting.
Products are made using yarn sourced from a Scottish Spinning Mill that specialise in high quality yarn. The stockings are made using beautifully soft merino lambswool. All yarn fibre used is Responsible Wool Standard Certified.
Chunky stockings are knitted on a hand operated flat bed knitting machine at her home studio in Oxford and hand crocheted to finish. Oslo Stockings are knitted in Leicester at a knit design studio with which Robyn works closely and then finished and embroidered by hand, being able to work closely in UK manufacture is an important factor in the production of these stockings.
