Ros Arrowsmith Ceramics
Norfolk
You will find me in my pottery workshop, clay up to my elbows, with the radio or a podcast on as I make mugs, plates, bowls and other handthrown tableware.
I have my potter's wheel by the window so I can look out onto the garden as I centre a lump of clay to make into your new favourite mug.
I love to make work that helps people celebrate special occasions like births, marriages and significant events. My writing has evolved over the years.
I make a cuppa (in one of my mugs), put my feet up, and get comfy to paint the names on with a brush.
The story behind the business
Meet Ros Arrowsmith Ceramics
In my small workshop, I create handthrown pottery that is simple and tactile. I love to manipulate the surface of pots as well as to play with the mixing of different glazes.
My work is influenced by living in Japan for two years. I started working with ceramics when I did my degree in BA (Hons) in Decorative Arts at The Nottingham Trent University.
I set up as a potter in Norfolk and have been working with clay ever since!
