Ruddock Jewellery

Ruddock pieces blend bold, distinctive style with timeless elegance.

Each piece is crafted by hand using the time-honoured technique of lost wax casting. A method which involves hand-carving or sculpting each piece initially in wax form, which is then cast and replicated in metal and moulded, serving as a blueprint for further pieces. The technique ensures the intricate details of the original design are faithfully preserved.

The story behind the business
Meet Ruddock Jewellery

Founded in 2016, Ruddock `jewellery is created by London based designer Sarah Ruddock. With an affinity for simplicity and modernist, sculptural forms, Sarah aims to create timeless pieces, balancing comfort with substance. Hailing from the North-East, Sarah began her career in London as a fashion buyer, however, her passion for jewellery led her to explore the craft, starting with a course in silversmithing closely followed by another in wax carving. Unable to find the weighty pieces she desired at an affordable price, wax carving offered a way to craft her own. Encouragement from friends led her to launch a website and in 2019 Sarah took the leap to making jewellery full-time. Committed to sustainable practices Sarah partners with local businesses, her pieces are crafted in small batches or made to order, using recycled metals to minimise waste.
