Hello, I'm Sam.

I LOVE Line and I love drawing, particularly observational.

Once I have the bones down of what I'm drawing, I do my best to bring it to life by enlivening it with play and fun - whilst making sure it's beautiful to live with.

I'm dog crazy. They are my primary source of inspiration. I make Dog Portrait Paintings and more latterly 'Portrait Posters'.

I live and work in Suffolk, UK.

The story behind the business

Meet Samantha Barnes

I’ve been painting, drawing, and printmaking for nearly 30 years.

I studied at Winchester, then Edinburgh College of Art. Moving around the UK to find my feet, I began working on commissions having fallen over and gained some time in my home to begin making the work I dearly wanted to make.

15 years later, I opened my own gallery in London which provided wonderful experience in selling and working with other artists. In 2013 we moved to Suffolk which is a constant source of inspiration.

I work from my garden studio and have a wonderful community of clients worldwide..
