Sam’s work strives to convey warmth, optimism, and humour — qualities that are important to her when teaching. She shares her passion for drawing through her popular “art lunches” in her garden studio and through collaborations with organisations such as the NHS, supporting wellbeing through creativity.
I live and work in Suffolk, UK.

The story behind the business
Meet Samantha Barnes
I’ve been painting, drawing, and printmaking for nearly 30 years.
I studied at Winchester, then Edinburgh College of Art. Moving around the UK to find my feet, I began working on commissions having fallen over and gained some time in my home to begin making the work I dearly wanted to make.
15 years later, I opened my own gallery in London which provided wonderful experience in selling and working with other artists. In 2013 we moved to Suffolk which is a constant source of inspiration.
I work from my garden studio and have a wonderful community of clients worldwide..
