Sketch Avenue

Birmingham

Bibi’s work is a celebration of creativity, heritage, and everyday ritual. Each piece is crafted with care, designed to bring beauty, function, and joy into daily life.

Through her ceramics, she hopes to inspire connection, mindfulness, and playfulness, proving that accessible, adaptable design can be elegant, meaningful, and for everyone.

As featured on Holly Tucker’s ‘Be Your Own Boss’ programme on ITV, every cup, vase, or trinket tells a story, a reflection of Bibi’s values, culture, and love of handmade craft.

The story behind the business
Meet Sketch Avenue

Bibi is a ceramic artist and designer with over two decades of experience in interior architecture and design. Her practice, Sketch Avenue, brings together form, function, and feeling, creating ergonomic homewares that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful.

Each piece is handmade with care, designed to be inclusive and adaptable without compromising aesthetic value. Inspired by her South Asian heritage and a love for everyday rituals, Bibi’s work celebrates connection, balance, and the quiet beauty found in objects made by hand.

Every Sketch Avenue ceramic features a small red dot on its base — Bibi’s personal maker’s mark. Inspired by tribal South Asian tradition, this dot reflects the bindi, placed between the eyes to represent the centre of balance, focus, and inner strength.
