I started Vespucci Adventures eight years ago. The company is named after an Italian explorer who loved maps and an adventure. Just like me! I thought there was a gap in the market for a trusted source for a great day's walking. I like arriving by train knowing there is a good cafe near the start, a great pub towards the end, and interesting places to see and great views along the way. We now have over 30 outstanding day walks in stock, each based upon the personal experience of a Vespucci Curator. In other words, a friend who loves walking and is prepared to share their best walk with me, subject to the key elements already noted. I go and walk it and, if it is upto scratch, we publish it.

Our packs contain an OS based map with our route superimposed upon it. Way points and descriptions are included. If all else fails, there is a QR code linking back to the OS app. Nonetheless, the Vespucci ethos is to gather round the map not the app. In addition, there is a guidebook designed to give you all the information you need for a great day out. Pubs, cafes and places of interest are all listed. There is always a "Plan B" if things do not go according to plan. Our mission is to give you the confidence to give it a go and get outside on a great walk.
