Our theme at the Work/Shop for May was of course a 'Do What You Love' book special and our Artist in Residence was London based fine artist Gavin Dobson. Holly discovered Gavin's work through Print Club alumni Dave Buonaguidi and immediately fell in love with his style. Gavin has recreated the cover of Holly's new book, Do What You Love, Love What You Do, in his signature fluid and textured style. Gavin cites storytelling as an important part of his practice, which we felt was symbiotic with the book, which tells Holly's own story in the most creative and inspiring ways.
Running a small business can be daunting and isolating. While there’s lots of advice out there about “how to write a business plan” or “how to file your taxes”, nobody talks about the emotional side of things. That’s where Holly is brilliant. She’s a wonderful mentor. Her support (and the honest sharing of her story) should nudge and guide you to great things!Johnnie Boden, founder of Boden
