Aqua Waterfall Large Sculptural Ceramic Basin

A stunning large handcrafted ceramic basin, made from durable stoneware clay and finished in our beautiful Aqua Green Waterfall glaze. Layers of aqua, turquoise and green flow naturally across the surface, with subtle touches of blue and soft white creating depth and movement within the glaze.

The organic glaze flows from lighter, brighter tones towards a deeper green centre, giving the basin a wonderfully watery quality. Each firing creates its own natural variations, making every basin completely unique.

Hand shaped with a softly irregular, shell like form and gently undulating rim, each basin has the character and individuality of a sculptural piece of handmade pottery. Elegant yet durable, it is designed to sit on top of a bathroom vanity or countertop, creating a striking focal point in both contemporary and more natural, textural interiors.

As every basin is individually made and glazed by hand, variations in shape, colour and glaze flow are part of its unique character and should be expected.

Individual character: As a completely handmade piece, this basin bears the subtle marks of its making. There is a small raised glaze variation on the underside. It does not affect the function or durability of the basin and is part of the unique character of this individual piece.

My work is crafted at my home studio in West Berkshire, UK. Each piece is unique and bears the signs of the handcrafted process; the press of the thumb and the turn of the wheel.

Each piece is crafted from stoneware clay either by hand or on the pottery wheel, then dried and trimmed to shape. All work is then bisque fired in the kiln, glazed and fired a second time. I then sand and clean each piece prior to sending out. Pottery is a long process with each piece taking a week or two to complete. It is a labour of love.
