There’s no better gift than one made with skill and care, especially when every step has been done with the special recipient in mind. This counts if the gift is one you’re treating yourself to, too! Whether you’re using your own initial, a family member’s or friend’s for a birthday, (or even your dog, as has been done in the past!) I lovingly create each letter piece purely by hand.I begin by drawing the letter you’ve supplied in the style you’ve chosen - block, casual, or thick and thin. I faux etch the letter fill before using a traditional glass gilding technique with 22ct gold, outline the letter and finish with a shade and background colour of your choice.The whole piece is set in a black frame, ready to hang.

Need to know

Sizing varies depending on frame stock and the chosen letter, however usually each piece will be approx 25-35cm tall.

Please note, everything I do is painted and gilded by hand - I do not screen, mask or print my signs, so small flaws and imperfections are to be expected. I believe this adds to the gift and the truly hand-made aspect of it - you can see in each brush stroke, fleck of gold that somebody painted your piece with love. Feel free to send over a pantone or RAL colour of the background colour you’d like, but please note that I colour-match by eye and so it may not be exact, but as close as I can get it.
