These richly decorated bluebirds show a flash of joyful yellow belly as they swing past in the breeze. Inky, folk-inspired patterns decorate the surface of each bird, with each of the four proudly bearing its own pattern and character, spreading happiness...

These richly decorated bluebirds show a flash of joyful yellow belly as they swing past in the breeze. Inky, folk-inspired patterns decorate the surface of each bird, with each of the four proudly bearing its own pattern and character, spreading happiness wherever they fly.

Mobiles make a perfect gift for a new baby or a new home, with their kinetic shape-shifting qualities providing endless quiet interest wherever they can cast shadows on a white wall or move in a gentle breeze.

My bird mobiles are made in my studio from cut and folded heavy weight paper printed in the UK with my exclusive designs, plus hand-shaped copper wire and strong fishing line. Each mobile is hand-cut and assembled by me. I love making them, and seeing flat paper come to life as a 3D, endlessly shifting form.

Need to know

The complete mobile has a drop of approximately 40cm, and each bird is approximately 10cm long.

Your mobile will arrive fully assembled, folded flat in an A5 size transcluscent presentation envelope, ready to unfold or send on as a special gift. Please keep out of reach of children (although it's perfect for above a crib - just out of the reach of little hands!), and be sure to hang your paper mobile somehere that's not damp or steamy.

I'm an illustrator, designer and author with a love of pattern, wiggly lines and colourful, joy-filled homes. I hand-make richly patterned paper bird mobiles in my home studio, and design greetings cards, papergoods and jolly enamel mugs for you to use in your own home or gift with love.

I'm often inspired by family life and that special place of play and wonder that small children are immersed in and us adults are often seeking to rediscover. My wish is that my designs spark happiness, create connection and bring a little bit of retro nostalgia wherever they go.
