I created Colin the Mallard in 2021 as a response to show that there is no such thing as an 'ordinary' duck.
By picking out Colin and creating a portrait of him I felt I was elevating the status of this bird and making him unique.
This is a print taken from the original painting which is now sold.

Charlotte Gerrard

WALTHAMSTOW, LONDON

I create engaging imagery of animals and nature in which I strive to evoke emotion and ignite a sense of wonder about the natural world.

My recent paintings feature animals often considered ‘lower forms’ such as chickens, foxes or small birds and by placing them inside vintage ornate frames I am elevating their status into something to be cherished as treasure.

It is my belief that art has the power to transcend boundaries, touch hearts, and inspire positive change.
