Fancy a Ruby? – Curry Plate
My plates are hand made from stoneware clay decorated using coloured slips and a paper stencil technique. This Cockney rhyming slang plate celebrates the singer Ruby Murray who was a popular British singer (1935–1996).
Each plate is unique due to the nature of hand making and the unpredictability of the kiln firing. They are sturdy, functional and dishwasher proof. They sometimes display characteristic minor imperfections.
