The Jacksons bags are established worldwide as the original jute macramé bags, authentically made by hand. Having spent over 15 years refining this traditional technique, the brand's unique placement of words and characters are instantly recognisable. Their colourful combinations and positive affirmations are sure to bring joy to your day.
Our bags are genuinely 100% sustainable, crafted from natural jute that grows in abundance in Bangladesh. Known locally as the ‘golden fibre’, jute has a low environmental impact and absorbs carbon dioxide while growing.
Each bag is handcrafted by women in remote rural villages in southern Bangladesh, who are paid directly for their work, empowering them within their own society. The Jacksons are proud to support the education, healthcare and livelihoods of these craftspeople who have become Louise Jackson’s “extended family”.
