Brighten your table with The Jacksons placemats, handcrafted with care and designed to bring joy to the table. Designed in our Notting Hill studio then handmade by craftswomen in rural southern Bangladesh, they’re perfect for putting under plates, or to use as trivets in the centre of the table.
Our placemats are crafted entirely from locally grown jute, a durable raw material which grows abundantly in Bangladesh. Known locally as the ‘golden fibre,’ jute has a low environmental impact, absorbing carbon dioxide and improving air quality.
The women who create The Jacksons placemats are paid directly for the work that they do. We’re proud to be working in a project to increase financial independence for women in 60 villages across Southwest Bangladesh.
