Description

This decorative plinth bowl is a limited edition of one artisan made piece. Perfect for displaying your fruit or decorative items this studio pottery bowl will be the centre piece of your kitchen or dining room and will bring a hand crafted look to your home.

The display bowl is made in my pottery studio in Somerset from flecked stoneware clay and is hand thrown on my potters wheel. I work seasonally creating my pieces with flowers picked from my cottage garden. This pottery bowl is hand decorated by carefully pressing meadow flowers around the plinth leaving their beautiful impressions in the clay. The flowers are then hand painted before I dip into my tin white glaze.
This is truly a one of piece of studio pottery that only you will get to own.

The Thoughtful Potter

taunton, somerset

Small batch artisan stoneware pottery hand made in my log cabin studio in Somerset.

I create functional pottery that feels delicious to hold in your hands. Hand thrown on Betty my pottery wheel my pots are very tactile, you can feel the artisanal making processes in each one.

My work is inspired by inspiring words, my love of nature and the beautiful Somerset countryside where I live.

My pottery is decorated by either imprinting flowers into the clay or free painting flowers, birds or fungi and are finished in my range of unique hand mixed glazes.
