I'm Lucy and I create all my pieces in my studio by hand in white earthenware using a variety of techniques to create treasured teacups, mugs, bowls and meaningful ornaments for the home. My pieces are inspired from a love of my garden, pets, animals and vintage pottery. I enjoy playing with colour and size, adding tiny creatures to my creations and love to add subtle quirky detail. I have a passion for handmade and have always created with my hands. I have vivid memories of creating masterpieces from brown plasticine at nursery school and was drawn to clay at school. I then qualified as a nurse and worked part time to fund a fashion degree before working in that industry. During a break to have my family, I was given a potter’s wheel and attended classes with Jane before we set up business in 2016. Jane became busier in 2019 and I have continued with lucyandjaneceramics.
