Need to Know
  • Kit includes: Essdee lino cutting handle, 5 Essdee carving blades (in matchbox), anti-slip mat, 2x 5cm pieces of Essdee Mastercut white lino, 1 off-cut of blue lino, 1 Memento ink drop stamp pad, safety instruction sheet.
  • Carving blades are made from precision ground, high carbon steel.
  • Lino types: Essdee Mastercut (soft, for paper or fabric) and blue lino.
  • Ink pad: Memento brand.
  • This kit contains sharp tools. Please only use unsupervised if you are 12+ years old.
  • For those younger than 12, parental supervision is a must!
  • Tin dimensions: 100mm (l) x 70mm (w) x 37mm (h) - 230ml capacity.
  • All carefully packaged in a sturdy, durable rectangular presentation tin.
  • Optional extra soft lino can be added at checkout.

Dive into the world of lino carving with this beginner-friendly kit, designed to help you master the craft. It’s a great starter kit to practice and improve your carving skills.

The kit comes complete with an Essdee brand lino cutting handle and five Essdee carving blades (in a matchbox), plus an anti-slip mat for safe carving. The five different lino cutters are made of precision ground, high carbon steel.

There are 2x 5cm pieces of Essdee Mastercut white lino (excellent soft lino to use printing on paper or fabric) and one off cut of small blue lino. The kit also contains 1 Memento ink drop stamp pad (various colours) and a safety instruction sheet to aid safe carving.

This kit allows you to produce two block stamp designs immediately and print them using the ink pad. All items are ones I use and recommend in my own printmaking practice.
