A bold statement for a bold plate. This stoneware plate is hand made and features a striking black and white design with the word 'Scran' in bold white letters.
My plates are decorated using coloured slips, underglazes and a paper stencil technique. 'Scran' is a word of Scottish origin, commonly used in the North East and by the British Army and Navy, meaning food or provisions.
Dishwasher safe and suitable for everyday use, this plate is built to last. Each plate is unique due to the nature of hand making and the unpredictability of the kiln firing, and may display characteristic minor imperfections.
