If you haven’t seen the Film “Withnail & I ‘ then shame on you,
If it isn’t one of your all time favourites films, then I’m sorry , we can’t be friends: )
There are so many great lines in this classic British film, but this one has always been a stand out gem. Sherry? Sherry…… Sherry? Sherry. Its is delivered so well by all three characters.
Perfect for delivering your drinks . Perhaps you could even offer some Sherry on it? Who drinks sherry these days? I actually really like it. Not all the time, but every now and again. It reminds me of my dear old friend Mary, who lived next door to us in the depths of Cornwall. I would take her down fish and chips once a month and play scrabble with her. We would always share a tipple, Harveys Bristol cream. This is a nod to my favourite film, and to my dear Mary. She was such an important person in my life. I miss her. And, she was my friend, even though she was well in to her 80’s and was not a fan of Withnail & I. (I will forgive her for that) . She taught me so much about life, and what matters. Scrabble, sherry and fish and chips sat in a little one up one down cottage in Cornwall with an old friend couldn’t be better.
Do you know a 'Withnail and I' fan that would appreciate this? Why not get them a bottle of British sherry to go with it.?
