There are many ways to time travel, even without the help of fictional inventors. A time travel journal could be a memory book or photo album, a collection of stories, or simply a record of the here and now, to travel back to in years to come - with just a little added magic.

These hand-bound books are made of watercolour paper, ideal for a range of uses and mediums including ink and paint. They have hard covers with a gold speck pattern and the title ‘Time travel’ written in pointed pen calligraphy in gold ink. They have gold silk ribbon ties, and an exposed link stitch binding in tone-on-tone white linen thread.

I combine traditional bookbinding techniques with paper making, calligraphy and letterpress printing to create handcrafted paper goods for dreamers and storytellers.

I am inspired by the layers of stories and memories that make up our world, in books, maps, buildings and landscapes, and the crafts behind treasured objects.

My work seeks to reconnect with a childhood magic of tales and make-believe, and to bring more imagination and escapism into daily life.
