One of my favourite makes. These woolen birds in hoops make excellent pets and add a splash of colour to any corner. I make them using vintage wool blankets. I sew them on my vintage brother sewing machine, and add trapunto stitches to the tail for a feat...

One of my favourite makes. These woolen birds in hoops make excellent pets and add a splash of colour to any corner. I make them using vintage wool blankets. I sew them on my vintage brother sewing machine, and add trapunto stitches to the tail for a feather feel. They have bamboo beaks wrapped in yarn, and glass bead eyes, they perch nicely on a bamboo hoop.

We can do them in an array of colours.

They are fully house trained and don't require any feeding, just the occasional compliment.

Wool bird 30cm long
Bamboo hoop 18cm wide
Bamboo beak wrapped with wool
Glass bead eyes.
Brass hoop, and wool cord for hanging.

We are a husband-and-wife team specialising in creating gifts and cards from recycled materials. We use vintage blankets, broken jewellery, feathers, vintage linen, reclaimed timber, and leather.

We have been in business for 10 years and love what we do. Libby, a former theatrical costume designer handles the sewing and illustrating. Neil, a self-taught carpenter works with the wood.

We have a small but mighty shop in the historic market town of Nantwich.
