Hey there! My name is Malaika and I am the architect-turned-designer behind Chalk, a London-based design studio. I have been making jewellery for over 10 years now and ever so grateful that I get to work the things I love.

I have a massive love for exquisitely crafted design in all its manifestations. Whether it's the grandeur of sprawling cityscapes or the delicate intricacies of fine jewellery, I find beauty in the everyday details.

I did not come into making jewellery the traditional way which I think gives my pieces a unique quality. I started by devising collections from a fusion of my experiences and the vibrant patterns that adorn diverse cultures around the world.
