Back in 2006, I had a little cocker spaniel puppy, Bella. A big problem I had was that her ears kept getting in her food and water.

After looking around, the only spaniel bowl I could find was a huge, ugly brown one. So, as a potter, I decided to make one. I painted it so it matched my new kitchen, and added her name, stamped permanently into the clay so that I could run my thumb over it and feel the letters.

That was the birth of Chow Bella, and it's her you'll find on my logo.

Since then, I've handmade hundreds of thousands of bowls of all shapes and sizes, although spaniel bowls remain at the heart of the business (I am still a cocker owner, after all!).

Each and every bowl is personally made from scratch on my potter's wheel in Lindford, Hampshire. It's hand painted, and lovingly created to be a colourful, tactile, but most of all, practical bowl that will make din-dins a thing of joy.

My kilns are solar powered and all of my packaging has been biodegradable for many years now.

I'm a one woman business with just a couple of hours' help a week with the packing.
