My name is Martina (or Marti), I am the creator and maker behind heykiddostudio. I opened heykiddostudio's virtual doors on 20th February 2019. After my son was born, I was inspired to build my own business and I wanted to create a beautiful nursery for him, full of decorations that would celebrate his individuality. I discovered tricotin art online and was excited to try my hand at the craft, creating words and designs in my own style. At the time there weren't many tricotin wire artists in the UK at all and most people had never seen knitted wire words before. My little business grew quickly and organically on Instagram as I shared my journey and growth with my followers and collaborated with some of the most influential small businesses in the UK. Online I found a whole community of supportive small businesses that would become a big part of the journey as we grew alongside each other.

It wasn't long before heykiddostudio became a family business, with my partner coming on board to help with the running of operations too. We now operate from a studio in our family home and feel so honoured to have been supported by our loyal customers for all of this time. As a small business we strive to do our best for the planet by reducing our use of plastic - using cardboard boxes, tissue paper and even paper tape when sending your packages! We pride ourselves on our product quality, consistency and the happiness of our customers across our platforms.

Throughout our journey our ethos has remained the same: to inspire and celebrate all kinds of 'kiddos'.
