Our story began 10 years ago whilst planning our wedding, naturally, we wanted our dog, Mr Gatsby to look the part on our special day. I couldn't find anything that fitted the bill, nothing matched the level of quality (and luxury) he deserved. So I made him his very own bow tie. After our wedding, I carried on making Gatsby his bow ties, and they seemed to give him an extra spring in his step. Before long, people were asking where they could get one too, and The Distinguished Dog Company was born.

But somewhere along the way, I realised it was never just about dog products; it was about the way dogs see the world.

It was about everything they remind us to be. They celebrate the little things, never say no to an adventure and somehow make an ordinary day feel extraordinary.

That's what HIGGS is today: a collection of design-led everyday goods inspired by the optimism, humour and curiosity of dogs. Reminding us to find joy in the ordinary, get outside, embrace adventure and never take ourselves too seriously.
