Hope Omelette
Deptford, London
I’m Emily, and Hope Omelette is part of my printmaking practice. A place where I explore points of reflection and things to remember through risograph, cyanotype, and screenprint.
My Sweet Nothings series begins with typewritten words on sweet packets and grows into playful, reflective editions in bright colours.
I’m also co-founder of Something Good Workshops, a joyful Deptford-based studio sharing gateway-crafting and creative beginnings through workshops and original products that celebrate creativity.
Proudly independent

Until the pandemic, I was a frustrated maths graduate working in banking and tech, running market stalls at the weekend selling knitting kits and teaching craft workshops to try and find creative balance. During lockdowns, I took up painting, then printmaking, in an exploration of self and as somewhere to scream.
Since then, I’ve taken short courses, made more art, and gradually stepped back from tech. Hope Omelette grew from this shift. A lot of my output comes from figuring out and writing down what’s helped in the ongoing pursuit of a more creative life – one that feels aligned and positive for my mind, body, and spirit. The hope is that it might help others to self-affirm too. (And as for the 'Omelette' – the keen-eyed may spot the gift my parents gave me with my initials.)
