Hi! I'm Gem, the founder and creative mind behind Linen & Bee. Born and bred a proud Shropshire Lass, I am also a wife and mother to two amazing daughters.

My passion for the arts and creativity has always played a significant role in my life, textiles in particular have always amazed me and I have been sewing since as long as I can remember. My very first independent dabble with a sewing needle was at just 8 years old, when I created a patchwork cushion-complete with frilly trim, using old clothes. The magic of creating something so pretty and useable from essentially worn out clothes has never left me and I continue to work hard to have zero waste; squirreling away scraps and offcuts into colour coded stashes ready for their next journey into something wonderful.

Before diving into the world of running a creative business full time, I completed an English Degree and worked in Further Education. My love for literature undoubtedly fuels my passion for story telling and imagination, which in turn helps inspire my unique designs and keeps my creativity flowing.

What began as a cherished hobby evolved into a full time business in 2020 where I now pour my heart and soul into creating every single item. I have to pinch myself every day, grateful for every single order that allows me to keep doing what I love.
