Rosanna is a self-taught printmaker, mainly working with lino. She studied History of Art in Edinburgh, then lived in London for a while, before returning to Edinburgh and pursuing her dream of being an artist.
She had always painted, but when her aunt bought her a linocut kit for her birthday in 2020 she was instantly hooked. She loves the processes and tools, and the affordability and accessibility of print.
The graphic nature of linocut also appeals to her love of illustrated stories and comic books, and she thinks of her prints as a scene from a larger narrative. One day she hopes to write and illustrate her own graphic novel.
When not in her studio, she loves exploring Scotland's coasts and mountains.
