Hello, I’m Hannah, artist and founder of The Happy Yellow Door Company, a colourful small business creating hand-painted, personalised wooden gifts and keepsakes.

From my Essex studio, I paint every piece by hand, with no vinyl or mass production. Customers can choose from more than fifty colours and add names, messages or children’s handwriting to make each item truly personal.

Before starting the business, I was a primary school teacher, and my love of creativity, children and meaningful details inspires everything I make. My collection includes book crates, memory boxes, tea party trays and gifts for children and families.

In 2025, I was proud to be named Best Children’s Business in Essex at the Muddy Stilettos Awards.

My aim is simple: to create something that makes the recipient smile and say, “It’s perfect.”
