Hello! I am Louise, the creative hands behind UP.

After a buying career in the fashion industry, I re-trained in Upholstery at Shoreditch Design Rooms and noticed a gap in the market for affordable, sustainable homeware and gifts. I loved the creative freedom of product development but struggled daily with the corporate office environment, hence Upcycled Upholstery was born.

Our process is rooted in slow production—hand-painting, block printing, and considered material choices like biodegradable linen, cotton, locally sourced reclaimed wood, and non-toxic paints as well as repurposed chemical-free foam off-cuts and natural buck-wheat fillings. Inspired by the energy of street art, we believe colour can transform spaces and lift spirits.

We aim to blur the lines between fashion, art and interiors in the most colourfully conscious, expressive way. We strongly believe sustainable interiors should be the norm not the exception. At UP, we aim to make sustainable interiors accessible and uplifting—designed to bring authenticity and positivity to every home, disrupting the mass-produced furniture industry in the process.
