A handmade Sugar pot to have on display rather than hidden away in a cupboard, in another exciting collaboration between Artist and Potter, where Beatrice von Preussen water colour Illustrations wrap around Katie’s clean line ceramics. The pot is a replica of a paper carton, but unlike the matching Milk and Cream the lid remains unopened and has generous cut-out for a spoon to nestle.

Enjoy Beatrice’s playful turn of phrase, with ‘FINEST SUGAR A SPARKING SPOONFUL’ on one side and ‘FINEST SUGAR A SWEET SPRINKLING on the other, in an array of typeface harking back to vintage packaging.

Team with the matching Butter Dish and Egg Cups to make a joyous gift, for a breakfast loving friend.

All finished with a transparent glaze to show of the grey monotone shades of the drawings against the natural soft cream colour of the clay.

W 68mm x D68mm H 108mm

All items are earthenware, cast using a fine semi-porcelain slip, that is mixed on site using a ‘secret recipe’ passed on many years ago, under the condition it’s never shared!

Wash before use.

Finished with transparent food safe glaze.

The skilled team at Fine Ceramic Transfers in Stoke-on-Trent, transform Beatrice von Preussen illustrations into the highest quality screen-printed transfers, which Katie then hand applies to each glazed item before returning to the kiln for the third and final firing. At 1060oc this temperature allows the transfer to sink into the glaze, forming a durable protective layer over Beatrice artwork to prevent fading with use.

Dish washer and microwave safe, just to make life a little easier.

Please note these items are handmade in small batches therefore there will be some variation in colour.

To ensure your item(s) arrived safely they will be packed in bubble wrap, nestled in a protective packing material in a recycled cardboard box.

I love making, I can’t help it, my hands get restless when I’m not. That’s how Katie Brinsley Ceramics started, with my hands. They momentarily let me down as my friends treasured butter dish slipped out of them smashing on her floor. This inspired me to make the best possible replacement! I chose slip casting for its beautiful clean lines and tactile smooth finish that makes an everyday object a delight to use. I haven’t stopped making my ceramic tableware since.
