These quirky bats have been printed onto a heavy, textured artist’ paper and are individually cut out by hand.

This bunting has eight bats hanging upside down from a 2.5m length of vintage linen cord.

Printed, cut and assembled by hand in the UK.

Hello, I'm Karen and I'm the sole pair of hands behind Kettle of Fish Designs.

My work has a distinctive style - it's made for homes which have a personality that develops over time and doesn't necessarily follow trends. Many of the materials I use are recycled, reclaimed, repurposed or upcycled and this enhances the distinctive character that you only get from handmade.

I combine vintage imagery with a rustic aesthetic, so my pieces really suit environments that combine inherited pieces, quirky collections and secondhand finds.
