Screen printing is a manual process in which layers of ink are applied to the paper through a stencil on a stretched mesh, one colour and stencil at a time, to create a whole picture. The number of layers - or ‘pulls’ - depends on the complexity of the print. Due to the nature of hand screen printing, some marks or slight imperfections may occur during the printing process from time to time. I like to think of these as happy accidents and they add to the charm and unique quality of my prints.
