Blouge: c’est quoi ça? Why, the wine world’s newest darling – a fuchsia-hued speciality that is part white, part red, maybe even part orange. Our Blouge 2.0 comes from the steep granitic hills of Blienschwiller in north-eastern France. The mixture of red and white grapes are hand-picked and left to macarate for three weeks, turning the white grapes into a golden-hued wine, and the red grapes into a violet-accented wine. The two are then blended – creating something alluringly incandescent – and aged for two years in stainless steel tanks. This bag-in box wine is equivalent to 3 bottles, stays fresh six weeks from opening, is fully recyclable, and reduces carbon emissions by up to 90%.
