Celebrate the cosmos with these handcrafted sun and moon decorations. A cool alternative to snowflakes and candy canes, they are hand-rolled with porcelain and stoneware clay, cut out using paper templates, and decorated with underglazes. Each piece is bisque fired and then glaze fired to 1240 degrees, and hand-painted with a brush so each one is slightly different.
The sun is made with stoneware clay and a matt frosty glaze, and the moon is made with porcelain and a clear glaze, giving them subtly different finishes. The beauty of these hangings is that they can be used the whole year through. Choose from the options below to select your celestial decoration.
