Owl candle holders for votive candles and large tea light candles. Hand made with slab rolled outlines of the owls which are worked onto little dishes thrown on the wheel. Using a scoring and clay slip method to attach the owls when both the small dish and owl shapes are leather hard. Then the candle holders are tidied up and the line work is added to the owls.
Bisque fired, glazed in a soft white glaze at a high temperature of 1270 degrees these candle holders are fit for purpose. Beautifully functional and lovely to look at.
