A large ceramic platter with a scalloped edge, perfect for serving or display. This handmade piece features a cream base with pink polka dots and a teal centre with a pattern of flying birds.
The platter is made with a paper template on buff stoneware clay, decorated with slips and underglazes. The soft scallop edge is reflected in the shape of the birds' wings. It is bisque fired, then dip glazed and fired to a high temperature of 1240 degrees.
A beautiful piece to use for serving or as a display item, and a great gift for an anniversary or wedding.
