A hand-painted ceramic sun wall hanging, perfect for adding a touch of warmth to any room. It is made by cutting a circular piece from a slab of clay, then hand-painted with slip and underglaze while the clay is leather hard. I've added texture by pressing small shapes into the clay. Once dry, the sun is bisque fired, covered in a clear glaze, and high fired to 1260 degrees in the kiln.
The sun has a small hole at the top to hang it from a hook or nail. You can also add rope to make it longer.
